...of the JV schedule. Now the real fun starts. The big boys. The heavyweights. The aircraft carriers. How's this to round out the regular season: @ Georgetown, UConn, @ Louisville, @ Pitt, Syracuse. I'm not even gonna try and predict that gauntlet. Let's just call this the Big East Tournamnet Dry Run.
Not quite as tough as Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio St, Illinois, and Minnesota...but you get the idea. (Sigh).
Jerel McNeal Stat Stuffer Update: 13 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 8 turnovers (oops).

Since GT has 4 conference wins, I don't think they should be considered part of the gauntlet.
Really? Isn't Mutumbo and Mourning still controlling the paint?
For the unreal amount of plays he can (and does make), McNeal really has me scratching my head sometimes...I mean, when you're going to do a spin move in the lane, please make sure there are less than 3 guys around you.
And probably the worst officiated game I've ever witnessed.
Brad.....The Big east has 2 of the top teams in the country, I will give you that. However, from Top to Bottom the Big Ten is not that bad! Take out Indiana the rest of the Big ten is decent, and can play with any conference. The Big East is almost half full of Turds!
Half full of turds? You sir, are hilarious. Get rid of our bottom 4 teams and the Big Ten doesn't sniff wins against the 1-12 teams in the BEast.
Michigan State and Purdue are jokes.
I wish they would take the Big Ten network off my cable package, I can feel how shitty the teams are when the TV isn't even on.
I'm not denying the Little-11 is better than recent years. Even if some of their big wins (Michigan over Duke/UCLA, OSU over Notre Dame, MSU over Texas) don't look nearly as good now as they did when they happenend. Minny over Louisville and Illinois over Mizzu are nice.
It's not just the non-conference wins...just watching games from all conferences, it looks to me that the Big-11 still looks like, well, the Big-11. Maybe I'm wrong.
Amen on the worst officiated game ever, Lance. When Bobby Gonzalez was calling the officials over for a pow-wow two minutes into the game, I said: "This is not a good sign. These guys are going to get pushed around and lose control of the game." And they did.
Mr. Other Nut,
The numbers don't lie....

The big least is top heavy. After Pitt and UConn the rest are comparable to Purdue, Mich State, or even Minn.
I think the truth lies somewhere in between the extreme positions taken by Mr. MGD and Mr. Other Nut.
I'm pretty sure the bottom half of the Big East isn't all turds, and I'm also pretty sure that many Big Ten teams could "sniff a win" against any team in the Big East. In fact, Big Ten teams have actually (gasp!) beaten Big East teams this year. Hell, not so long ago Michigan, which is probably the 6th or 7th best team in the Big Ten, "sniffed a win" against UConn @ UConn before fading at the end.
Come on, you cant just say "after UConn and Pitt..." 5 Big East teams ranked in the top 12. That's pretty good depth.
When will everyone learn that the RPI means nothing until all games have been played.
For those that buy into this kind of stuff - Georgetown's RPI is 22.
Penn St 38, Illinois 33.
The Big Ten is sweet.
