Aaron Rodgers is no Ryan Braun

I received the following email and picture from loyal female Hacker MD (Hat Tip dear lady).

Not sure if any of your other loyal blog readers attended the Packers meet and greet at Mayfair today so I thought I'd give you some pics. Aaron seemed annoyed that people were there to take pictures of him. Wasn't too impressed with the cocky attitude and eye roll when I asked him to look at the camera. The big spenders mostly just wanted to get to Aaron. I must say I was kind of disappointed because he was actually starting to grow on me. I didn't expect him to be such a diva. When I asked for a picture he said "What...." refusing to look up, and his handler said "Aaron has to work". What is the point of doing a public appearance if you aren't going to embrace your fans? He was wearing a really douchey hat too. He is nowhere as near as hot as you Woz.

Ok...99% of that is true. Here's the picture.

Hmmm...this douchey hat issue isn't new...is this an ongoing theme? I hope not.

Anyway, Chuck Rodgers acting like an arrogant tool doesn't surprise me. He's got that "look" to him. Mr. 3rd place in MVP voting Ryan Braun is arrogant, but by no means is he a tool. He's the man. Every man is WI wants to be Ryan Braun. He's cocky and arrogant, yet he pulls it off because he doesn't do stunts like Chuck did here. So Chuck, if you're going to continue wearing those sorts of hats, at least take a lesson or two from Ryan Braun and know how to work the crowd. Ok.

Good Grief

Um, this is newsworthy? It must be, because the JS then asked Rodgers if Brett called him? After answering "No," they asked Rodgers if he was upset about it? Again, "No."

Let me get this straight: ESPN reports Favre told them that he called Romo after the injury. The local hacks asked Rodgers if Brett called him and if he was put off that he didn't. Wow, this is front page stuff here.

Brett also said "I think he's (Romo) also one of the top five players in the entire league." Rounding out Brett Favre's top 5 players in the NFL are:

1) Brett Favre
2) Brett Favre
3) Brett Favre
4) Jesus Christ
5) Tony Romo
1,109) Aaron Rodgers

Finally, the odds of ESPN dubbing this topic "Fingergate" opened at 5-4.

So it Begins

USA Today ran a story this morning as every major publication is beginning to highlight the NFL season which starts tonight. It's one of those "10 questions to be answered" type of articles.

And of course (get used to it), here is question #1:

1. Who winds up with more wins this season, Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers?

The answer is obvious...but I'm still going to throw this up to a poll.

Go on record in the comment section.

Get Effing Serious

You guys knew it was going to happen eventually.

I'm not even going to go into depth on this. It is what it is. The drama continues.

Somewhere, Aaron Rodgers is banging his head on his keyboard.

Separated at Birth?

Heard this on FM102.1 in Milwaukee last night driving home. I had never made the connection before, and some of you might have seen this already, but our new quarterback looks like former Creed lead singer and Billups of the Week Scott Stapp. This is even better than my roommate (Everybody's Favorite Life Insurance Salesman) looking like Tony Romo.

I've got a feeling that certain media types are going to get a hold of this and blare Creed music every time Rodgers has a TD pass next year (shudder).

"With arrrmsssss wide opennnnnn!"
