Ben Sheets? Bah!
Braden Looper? Bah!
Randy Wolf? Bah! Bah!
The Milwaukee Brewers traded for a 6th starter today, getting Chase Wright from the Yankees in exchange for a catcher/outfielder who raked at Class A West Virginia last year at age 23.
Wright was 10-3 with a 2.72 ERA at 3 levels of New York's minor league system in 2008, one year after being rushed to the big leagues from AA for a couple of appearances with the Yankees. He gave up 4 straight home runs in Fenway Park in one appearance that year, so he's probably happy to get out of the AL East.
Seriously, it would appear that this guy is now the next in line if a starter falters or gets hurt, at least on paper. I'm in favor of this move. No word on whether the Yankees asked Milwaukee to throw some money into this deal, like $50,000 or something.

I don't see the point in this being that the Cubs writers have already determined that the Brewers have no chance.
We should probably just sit this one out because "THIS IS THE YEAR!" for the Cubs.
Wait, wasn't that last year? And the year before that... I guess when you don't put the year on the bumper sticker EVERY YEAR can be the year!
I have a slip from Harrahs that has the year on it and it says "this is the year" for the Brewers.
