Milwaukee vs Pittsburgh: A Debate

The good people at Mondesi's House picked up on an article by former Pittsburgh-turned-Milwaukee resident, and Woz fantasy babe, Trenni Kunsierek. She touched a nerve with the Steel City folks by leaning pro-Milwaukee in the article.

The guys at Mondesi's House (former Milwaukee resident) gives a solid comparison of the two cities. Article

The bottom line:

Honestly, it is frightening how similar these two cities are. There were times when I was in Milwaukee and it actually felt like I was in Pittsburgh. Both cities are filled with friendly people with amusing accents, both are blue collar, and both are wonderful & underappreciated places to live.

I would rather go down on Whoopie Goldberg then live in Pittsburgh.

Having spent 2 days in Pittsburgh earlier this summer, I would say that I found it to be a fine city. You get on the outskirts and you have a strong West Virginia element, but the city itself seemed nice enough. One plus was the did have a Puma store, something Milwaukee does not have yet. The also have a brew pub located in an old catholic church. Now if they just would have had the servers wearing catholic school girl uniforms, it would have been even better.

I would say Pittsburgh and Milwaukee are siblings.

I like Pittsburgh. 's gotta good feel to it.

My favorite city is Portland, OR, though...
