I don't know how to take this...

Part of me is happy... Part of me thinks I talk too much. Mostly I think it means I have a boring desk job and this site is one of the things that gets me thru the day.

Either way... JJ had another dinger, and they won, so I'm happy.

It's a good thing.

I dig D'Amico and the W but how about some props to Bill Hall for the Golden Sombrero?!

It was a job well done, to be su- Wait a minute!

I steadfastly refuse to be too upset with Bill Hall. I don't think he's gotten a fair shake. That said... ugh.

Jose Hernandez thinks Bill Hall is taking some bad swings right now.

I love the guy too, but that's garbage...especially against a lefty. Make some contact Billy! He was up 3-0 in one count. IIRC though, Soto got a Platinum cap and the next few days went ape-shit...on the Crew of all teams.

Anon- HA! That may be the most insightful, funny thing I've read from an Anonymous commenter...

Joe Steve- Agreed, it's a horrible performance, one that will make Special Ned ride the Craig Counsell Train (EW!) even more...

Come September that train will be called "Mat Gamel" and I will not care about his fielding.

Is that really a picture of D'amico during his one good year? Anyone remember when he hit a homerun to like straight away center?

also, was anyone impressed that gagne got into a bases loaded jam with no outs and then got out of the bases loaded jam without giving up any runs on only 9 pitches. That takes skill!!

I always have a hard time finding pictures of the Germanic BM era unis... I'd love an old late 90's team trading card set or something. The should wear THOSE as a retro uni; the problem being that the team has seemingly disavowed that they ever existed!

What about the powder blues? When are we going to see them on a Retro Friday?

Hall seems to be shaping into this year's Rob Deer. Homerun or strikeout - no middle ground necessary.

Or, the first Brewers unis.... That'd work for me!

I remember being in Maryland and watching Kyle Peterson start for the Brewers in the Seattle Pilots Throwbacks... I was just young enough to think Kyle would amount to something. I also remember LOOKING FORWARD to Jason Bere starts, because he was almost a servicable MLB pitcher.

Add Peterson to the list of pitchers we thought were good:

Cal Eldred
Ricky Bones
Nick Neugebauer

Isn't Peterson broadcasting Little League WS games for ESPN now? Such talent, wasted.

I love playing MVP Baseball 2003 with Neugebauer... he's remarkably filthy...

I always trade Royce Clayton for 'Rillo... I can't help myself.
