How about me saying this:
"Look guys, listen to me. I don't think the Battle of Vicksburg made a difference in the early days of the Civil War on the Western Front. The Union army needed to be better in the Northern Campaign. That being said, winning at Vicksburg really turned the tide of the war in the Union's favor."
That's right Doug...I went there.
