Something just caught my eye about one of the Brewers high school pitchers they drafted:
The Brewers used their supplemental picks after the first round to select prep right-hander Jake Odorizzi (No. 32 overall)...
Odorizzi, 18, is a superb athlete who has a football scholarship at Louisville as a wide receiver. He was 11-0 with a 0.00 ERA at Highland (Ill.) High School, with only 18 hits allowed and five walks in 69 innings, and 116 strikeouts.
Hey...I know it's high school, and I know they don't know how to play baseball in Illinois...but a freaking donut hole for an ERA over 69 innings??? Good Lord...

Jack Z's comment about Odorizzi-"We understand those are high school numbers, but nevertheless pretty spectacular,” Zduriencik said.
Yeah, yeah I'd say so Jack.
Looks like he has some speed and and swing the stick, against IL high school talent at least.
From his hometown newspaper:
The 6-2, 175-pound right-hander is 13-0 with a 0.09 ERA and 133 strikeouts and five walks in 80 innings. He's also hitting .431 with a school-record 15 home runs, 41 RBIs and 28 stolen bases.
