Core Classes? We Don't Need No Stinking Core Classes!

You remember Jeronne Maymon, right? Stud hoopster at Madison Memorial. I ripped him here, then his crazy Old Man here. Well, he has officially declared his school of choice.....Marquette! Yep, 2.0 GPA be damned! I can't wait to follow this Barnum and Baily act for the foreseeable future. Speaking of a circus, here's a audio clip (Thank You, Tony) of a recent interview of Maymon's dad. He previous comments were just a warm up. 15 minutes long, but well worth the time. If you can't listen, here are a few highlights:
  • Jeronne has a "Frame that was built by God."
  • Despite being 6-7 and built, Jeronne should be "a 1 or a 2 guard in college."
  • He's a "High school version of Michael Beasley, with a Kevin Durant stroke, and the speed and agility of Eric Gordon and Derrick Rose." Alrighty then.
  • Also, "his footwork is off the chain."
  • Finally, despite the earlier proclamation that he's a guard: "Jeronne is the best power forward to come out of Madison in the last 25 years." I thought he was a guard?

For MU's sake, I hope he's a stud. Somehow, I don't see this as a nice, pleasant 4 year career.

This sucks. Mark it down, MU will be in the tank for the next 6-8 years, or until the school decides to 1) hire an AD with some kind of idea how to run a athletic department, and 2) a head coach that belongs in the NCAA D-I ranks.
