God do I love Ryan Braun. The man never misses an opportunity to sound arrogant...it's one of his better qualities. Braun has been chosen to be put on the March 13th SI cover along with Colorado shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and Arizona rightfielder Justin Upton. When asked about how he felt about it, here was his reply:
"It's pretty exciting," said Braun. "I'd prefer not to share it, of course, but I'll take anything I can get."
Later he was asked about the possible SI cover jinx. He waved that off by saying:
"I don't believe in that. I try not to be superstitious."
You know he wanted to reply to the jinx question by saying, "Don't be stupid, you know I'm hitting 50 bombs this year irregardless."
