An interesting development reported on ESPN Radio here in Madison...just seconds ago. Supposedly, Packers.com (which is the official website of the Packers) had a link up there for a while saying Favre is retiring. Well, the link is no longer up there, but that surly raises some questions. Obviously, more on this story as it becomes available.
Update:
Here's an actual picture of what the mysterious post on Packers.com looked like. This from TheSportingNews.com

Most likely somebody put that up by mistake...
...let's hope.
Most likely Ted Thompson put that up there - on purpose.
Just another in a long list of things Ted has done to try to make Brett retire.
False alarm, everyone. The state of WI may now breathe again.

man...what a relief. It was a mistake- thank god!! I didn't know how was I going to continue on with my day if that certain middle aged guy decided he was going to give up playing football???
I hope it wasn't a mistake, it's time for the Aaron Rogers era anyway. This guy has done this for 5-6 years, I'm sure TT would like to know if he had another 10 million in cap space to spend on Randy Moss.
If Aaron Roger was our QB in the NFC championship the Pack would be shinning up those SB rings.

Somebody please save this remark so that when Rodgers ends up retiring after two years as a starter (See the long list of previous Favre backups who are now on the scrap heap) you can pull this assinine comment back out and have a good laugh. Are you also one of the brain trust that was calling for Brett to be dealt back in 2000 while the Pack could still get something for him?
