Taking a Break from Raising Our Taxes...

Packers Insider Jim Doyle, seen here congratulating the Packers on winning Super Bowl XLII.
.
Funny post from Greg Bedard on the Journal Sentinel Packers Blog regarding Governor Doyle's statement regarding Brett Favre's "decision" to return to the Packers next year.

Here's the Governor's statement, according to Bedard:

"Like all Packer fans, I am thrilled that Brett Favre will return to action next year for the green and gold. Brett Favre's tremendous work ethic and willingness to go out and play hard every day represent the true spirit of Wisconsin.

I am hopeful that with this announcement behind us, Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers can focus on the task at hand: defeating the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday and advancing to the National Football Conference Championship game.

I want to thank Brett Favre on behalf of Packer fans everywhere for his commitment to the Packers, Green Bay, and all of Wisconsin."

This is just the latest example of why politicians should stay out of sports. I assume an over-eager staffer in Doyle's press office is currently sitting in the time out chair for making Doyle look just a little foolish this afternoon.

Shouldn't he be more concerned with the mailing mishap that an interview from a Mississippi paper where the QB of a professional football team states he most likely will play next season. Doyle is a schmuck, so he probably did make this statement.
Rally up the troops, Gilkes!

That Douch is currently taking 1 dollar a day from me because of his new cig tax. So regardless of the fact he is a Packer fan... I hate his guts.
