Sheets Better Bring His Game Tonight

This might be the biggest start in Ben Sheets' career tonight. Yes, bigger than winning some amateur baseball game.

Win this game, and you've won the series at Houston with one more road series against Atlanta to come. Good win last night, by the way - I think Gallardo and Villanueva have staked their claim for a rotation spot next year...

After reading the link you posted, I couldn't help but laugh at Jeff D'amico, "Staff Ace" and a pitcher by the name of Elmer Dessens throwing a two hitter and raining on the parade.
Wow, D'amico staff ace...I guess that makes me appreciate this team more and wonder why Dessens couldn't pull two hit crap out of his butt this year? Anyway...yes Sheets biggest start is tonight as is Zambrano's...both on 3 days rest!

I was at the game Friday night. Believe me, Benny has had longer than 3 days rest.

great game by sheets tonight. only gives up one run and the team wins. can't do much better than that.

Would I be amiss at saying Ben is a puss? You would think the guy is made of glass for Cliff's sake. They guy gets a hang nail and boom, two weeks on the DL. Now the guy can't even take his warm ups with out straining something. It's getting ridiculous! Has he ever played a full season? This is crunch time, he's gotta suck it up!
