Numbers Don't Lie

Baseball Prospectus has some sort of "Playoffs Odds Report" that I'm sure uses some fancy math to figure out the odds of certain teams making the MLB playoffs.

Apparently, we should forget about Milwaukee making the playoffs - they've only got a 29.25606% chance of winning the NL Central, and a .08617% chance of winning the NL Wildcard.

I wonder if the equation factors in that dumb goat? Who needs math anyway?

As the great Shaquille O'Neal once said:

"My game is like the Pythagorean theorum, no one has an answer."
