How To Score a Crapload of Runs in One Inning.

How do you score 9 runs in an inning? Let's see...

Walk
Walk
Single
Single (+ a 2 base error)
Home Run
Strikeout
Walk
Double
Walk
Strikeout
Home Run
Ground Out

Yup. That will about do it.

Something that should also be on that list is "face the Astros bullpen." They've been horrible.....is that two games in a row where the bullpen guy for the 'stros gave up a homer on the first pitch? If I were Garner my starter would throw 185 pitches before I went to the pen. It was really hot at Miller Park last night, BTW.

Interesting that there were 4 walks on the list.

Interesting that Mench had another hit w RISP, but the run was held up since there were 0 outs. It was an 0-2 pitch......but again I hate him and I especially hate the way he didn't walk on Sunday but had a single, double, SB, and 2 outfield assists. He's "killing" this team and Ken Tremendous says so.....

The key to having a big inning is having a lot of men on base, by hook or by crook, or walk for that matter. Kevin Mench got lucky because Carlos Lee isn't fast, doesn't hustle, and didn't get a good jump on the ball. And I hate him too...one of two players in the starting lineup not to walk last night. Maybe he'll have a good game or two so we can actually get something for him when we trade him.
