Does Anyone Know How Many Grand Slams Prince Fielder Has Hit In His Big League Career?

Even more important than giving Milwaukee the lead in that ridiculous game, Prince's grand slam tonight will mean that we never have to hear Brian Anderson tell us that Prince has no career grand slams every time he comes up with the bases loaded.

Can I still say that JJ Hardy is a great fastball hitter?

I was also hoping Braun would get the cycle so the name "Chad Moeller" would never have to be uttered on FSWi broadcasts again.

Brian Anderson is really getting on my nerves this year. I find it amazing that he is in his third season of broadcasting major league games and doesn't know dick about baseball strategy.

Brian Anderson is dry toast.

I decided I would rather watch the game on ESPN instead of listening to Brian Anderson. Yes that meant I had to listen to Steve "I love the AL East" Phillips for four hours.

I never realized the amount of hatred for B. Anderson in Brewer nation.

I find it far more difficult to listen to Davey, even with his small clips.

I agree with Rex, I thought people generally liked the BA-Rock combo on FSN.

I don't mind BA or Rock. His voice cracking Braun walk off grand slam call from last year was top notch.

I didn't even know it was on ESPN until after the Fielder grand slam. I flipped to ESPN to see if they had highlights. Usually FSW is blacked out for the national feed.

I really dislike the ESPN screen format. It's too busy. A giant score bar and then shit scrolling on the bottom. I almost had a seizure.

My thoughts exactly clown.

Hey did you know Burress' hearing is in September now?

I mean, come on, if the story scrolls 20 times during a 4 hour broadcast can it really be considered "breaking news"?

It's fine if you're watching a random game like Cox Vs. Yankers that you don't care about. It just get's really annoying when you're trying to pay attention.

Here's an idea... If you're worried about happenings in other sports turn on ESPN 37 and watch the fucking news.

My favorite part about ESPN's breaking news is when you are actually watching the scrolling scores waiting for one in particular, and just before it appears: "Breaking News, Derek Jeter doubles with two outs in the bottom of the 4th."

I think we can all agree that Brian Anderson is a huge step up from Daron Sutton.

God I hated listening to that guy.

As for ESPN's telecast, I don't know what you guys are talking about. I found it tremendously helpful to know that Kelly Shoppach was batting .238 after a 1-0 count.

It's more the fact that its June and they have already run out of new things to talk about. If I hear how strong JJ's arm is or how important Counsel is or about Difilece's cutter. I think they played the same Braun interview like 3 games in a row and played 3 times in each game.

Did anyone know Rock Schroeder caught Juan Nieves' no-no?

I don't believe I am going out on a limb here, when I say. "Brewers have the worst telecast crew in MLB."

Gregor said...

DiVV, because you've seen a telecast from every other MLB team? How DO you find the time?

Tim said...

DiVV - try a White Sox game. If you don't hang yourself, let me know what you think about those mouth-breathers.

And for a bonus God-awful telecast, make sure to tune into Brewers Live with Jeff Grayson and Auggie. That will make your ears bleed worse than listening to Davey.

I have no problem with Rock or Anderson, or Daron Sutton for that matter. All seem pretty standard to me. Rock has been mailing it in for the last few years but what can you expect when you do the same job for how many years.

The bottom line is Brewers Live is a complete joke. I can't watch it for 10 seconds without running out of the room or changing the channel.

Since I can't get the Crew locally, I have mlb.tv, and occasionally check in on other broadcasts. I like BA and Rock, but there are a lot of valid points on here. It could be worse. Vin Scully is still the best. The man is soothing. Pittsburgh's guys are the dullest. White Sox are just PAINFUL. As for the Cubs, I hate them as much as I hate everything else related to that organzation.

I don't overwhelming dislike Anderson, it is just that he is wearing on me this year. I know its a long season and you have certain "go-to" stories/facts, but his haven't changed in 3 years. And they aren't funny like Uke's. He's fine, just kind of gets on my nerves sometimes. If you want a brutal broadcast, check out a Royals game sometime.
