Sports Illustrated is confusing me.
In February, SI writer Ted Keith referred to "stone-gloved" Ryan Braun in a story about the World Baseball Classic.
Today, SI writer Jon Heyman said the following about Braun's defense:
Ryan Braun is one terrific outfielder, no kidding. The move of Braun from third base to left field is one of the smartest things any team has done in years.
Perhaps they need to develop a position paper on the subject and hand it out to their writers. The truth, as usual, probably lies somewhere between stone-gloved and terrific. But closer to terrific.
