Most Random Brewers Radio Affiliate

WTMJ 620 isn't the only station broadcasting Ueck and the New Guy. No, sir. Of course the bigger cities in Wisconsin have radio affiliates: Madison, Green Bay, Wausau...as well as some smaller ones: River Falls, Fort Atkinson (my channel of choice), and Hayward.

One stood out as extraordinarily small: Iron River, Wisconsin. Really? Never heard of it. It's in Bayfield County 35 miles east of Superior. How small? The town is comprised of 1,059 hearty Brewer fans and doesn't even have its own high school (They have to travel 10 miles west and attend something called Maple Northwestern. I think ex-Badger sack artist Tom Burke went there).

Not only is it the smallest, it's the furthest from the Flagship...a whopping 358 miles away from Milwaukee. Actually, Iron River is closer to Minneapolis (175 miles), Grand Forks, North Dakota (310), and Waterloo, Iowa (324) than it is Milwaukee. Odd. So the next time you wrap your car around a Bayfield County pine tree after pounding enough Lienenkugal's to float a battleship - DON'T PANIC! Just flip on the radio, scroll to 107.3 on your FM dial, and listen to check out some Brewer baseball. Thank me later.

Also:
Wisconsin is home to 5 non-Brewers radio affiliates. Booooooooo. New Richmond, and Balsam Lake (?) carry the Twinkies. Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, and Minocqua have Cubs affiliates. No surprise with Minocqua. That place is littered with Illinois license plates during the summer, making it annoyingly crowded, but thanks for the tourism dollars…I guess. Somebody has to drink the Old Style left in the fridge from last summer, right?

Iron River also asks as the Wisconsin affiliate for Superior. As a former Superior resident, thank you Iron River!

i'm pretty sure it's wisconsinian.

While I appreciate the fact that I now can locate Iron River on a map, the knowledge gained from this post that I will carry with me is that the FM dial goes all the way to 107.3.
As an aside, I am enjoying Cory Provus from the start.

anyone know of a Twin Cities station that pulls in brewers games

MN:

Just buy the MLB audio thingy for $15. You get audio broadcasts of all of the games for every team on your computer. You can also download an app for your iPhone or iPod touch that does the same thing and is only $10. As far as I'm concerned, mine has already paid for itself.
