The Glue Is Back On The Market

After serving as The Glue for the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies, Geoff Jenkins was released today. His parting comments obviously did not disappoint:

"Anytime you get released it's obviously a surprise," he said. "I think it's just something that we talked about. I don't know if I foreshadowed this scenario happening, but I knew there were left-handed hitters. So it seemed like somebody would be the odd man out at some point. It's real tough. I care a lot about those guys in the clubhouse. You just deal with this like anything else and try to find a new spot. It's obviously something I've never had to deal with before, playing my whole career. I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I don't regreat anything for one minute that I was here. I told Charlie that, and Ruben. They were great with me."

Be well, Geoff. Might The Glue be this year's Gabe Kapler for the Brewers? I say dump TG Jr. and go get him, Doug.

Matt,
Are you trying to give me a heart attack with that last paragraph?

I'm still trying to figure out why this blog gets off on the word 'obviously'. This joke was never funny and has now become annoying. Although I'm sure Marquette fans still get a kick out of it.

Woz, are you telling me you wouldn't want The Glue to be Milwaukee's 5th OF/lumber off the bench/clubhouse clown/social director/mentor for younger players in the ways of owning the Milwaukee club scene?

Of course you would.

Actually anonymous, we MU grads/fans hire people to laugh at our jokes for us.

Comedy is never in a recession.
