Brett Favre Finally Admits His Billupsdom

Brett Favre the Leader. Brett Favre the Gamer. Brett Favre the epitome of everything you want in the QB position. Brett Favre the Teammate.

Or...how bout this...Brett Favre the Spiteful Donkey?

I saw his interview with Peter King linked on the JS this morning...the following is basically all you need to know about Brett Favre.

The reality, Favre knows now, is he not only wanted to play again, but he wanted to show Green Bay -- particularly general manager Ted Thompson -- that it was making a big mistake in going forward without him. "Part of me coming back last year, I have to admit now, was sticking it to Ted,'' he said in a rather startling admission.

There it is people. There it is. From the mouth of the man himself comes the proclamation of spite. It was never about the team. It's all about him. #4. This wasn't about football. This was about #4's image. "Oh...the Packers don't want me back 3 months after I've RETIRED? I'll show them! I'll show them all! I'll show them for not taking me back after I disappeared for months after the season ended and then showing up one day saying that I wanted to come back!"

I had moved on from Brett Favre. I really had. Any logical person looking at this situation knows the Packers were in the right and Favre was on the wrong. It was over. I no longer cared. Favre was proven wrong. He proved to be nothing more than an arrogant, washed up quarterback who couldn't stand his old team moving on without him.

But Favre cannot let it go. Who's been doing all the mudslinging? Nothing is coming out of the Packers' camp. Favre is behind it all. He continues to trash the very city, state, and fan base that supported him during his time at the top.

Keep it up Favre. Keep on trashing our memories with your crusade against the very team that gave you the opportunity to become the QB you became. I'm finished with you. Keep talking anymore and we'll how many left there will be to defend you.

Nice diatribe. I can tell that you're keeping a level, unbiased view on the whole situation.

Wow, he was upset that Packers said he wasn't good enough to lead them anymore, and yet at the same time they were too afraid to let him go to the Vikings.....

Shocking, just shocking, that he would be upset about this, and how dare he use this to motivate him to play for the Jets...

Srsly why do we care that he wanted to stick it to T.T.? He didn't say Green Bay, he said Ted.

I thought everyone on both sides of the debate thought T.T. was a tool?

What do I think about this?

Did anyone read how Joe Torre bashed some former Yankees and some of the management when he was their manager? I think its safe to say based on the logic used in this thread that because Joe Torre called some players out and said management didn't back him up that he hates the Yankees, hates the whole state of New York and doesn't let other drivers pass him in the fast lane.

Brett Favre has trashed the legacy he built up on the football field.

Why does Brett hate Rodgers? He could have at least called him back. If he has time to call Matt Millen and talk about "hunting," why not lob a return call to A-Rod? Because Favre's a turd, that's why.

Oh jeez. The guy's a douche. If it wasn't evidenced by two 'unofficial' retirements and one official one in which he strung the organization and fan base along, its evidenced by this admission.

I mean come on. I'm sure Thompson did some things that he shouldn't have, perhaps said some things he shouldn't have, perhaps even mis-managed some things. But Favre is now talking about how he wanted to 'stick it to TT'. Simply because he wouldn't take him back, for the third year in a row (and this time, it was coming back from an official retirement)? Holy shit if I was the general manager and I'd recruited someone and spent a ton of money on him to watch him sit behind another guy...who keeps telling you the recruit's gonna get a shot and then fucking it...I'm telling him to shove his contract up his ass too.

Yes, fuck Brett Favre. He dicked the FANBASE around for THREE YEARS by 'retiring', 'retiring', and then retiring. And, somehow, Ted Thompson is the huge dickhead?

Come on. Take off your Schlitz-stained Favre Packer's jersies.

So a man can't make a decision and he's a douchebag? 12 months ago, everyone loved him, now everyone hates him because he, um, he, uh, HE CHANGED HIS MIND!!!

LET'S FUCKING SHOOT HIM!!

And, btw, Brett Favre doesn't owe Aaron Rodgers a damn thing. If he doesn't return his call, it's none of our business. Tell Rodgers to grow a pair and stop crying. Joe Montana hated Steve Young, yet Montana is still considered a hero.

So you're saying we the fans, and the Packers organizations are just supposed to keep all holes lubed in case Favre decides he wants to come back and use one?

Please, that's such a tired argument.

I'm pretty sure that his first signs of douchebag-dom came when he was popping the now-famous Favre Cocktail of High Life and Vicodin every day. Remember that? He's a saint though! Yes, he retired 3 times. In his mind, the Packers were supposed to allow him to come back. No matter what the plan. The fans were supposed to be sad, then happy, then sad, then happy, then sad, then happy?

Fuck, dude, I remember BEFORE Brett Favre. There was a before, there will be an after. I sure don't have a pedestal with a small Favre-y shrine, all decked out at my house. Why? Because I'm a Packer fan. Favre can dick people around all he wants. Just don't fuck with the team.

Dry your eyes Favre haters. Don't try and claim logic or play amateur psychologist because he doesn't have a relationship with the cliche machine Rodgers. Fuck Charlie Marlow and the rest of immature babies who cry about being "jerked around." If you need a player to respond to your emotional needs by a certain date, you should give up sports.
