I Don't Know How I Feel About This

Apparently Boston College is going to fire Jim Jagodzaiaesnksi for interviewing for the Jets job.

On the one hand, good for them.

On the other hand, isn't that sort of crazy? It's not like good coaches just are just lining up to coach at BC. I'm sure the players are thrilled about this.

This opinion post is quite Mike Hunt-esque. I'm going to go with it anyway.

my bud went to school with him (Jags) in West Allis...I think BC is f'n themselves for future candidates...

seems a little insecure on their part - and, as you not, sends the wrong message to players and would-be coaches.

note, even.

Mike Hunt is no longer scared of you taking his job. He was a little on edge following your Packers post earlier this week.

I agree this seems like a strange situation. BC has always seemed like a stepping stone for coaches. I can see why they would want to have somebody in place for a long duration of time, but to kill his NFL chances will not set well with potential future coaches. Sure they will find somebody, but nobody top notch. College football in the northeast is brutal.

Jags is a Wisconsin boy. If he's fire, Barry better get on the phone quickly.

... and by fire, I mean fired, not that burning you get every time you urinate. You guys don't have that? Oh...

This is just dumb. I'm sure BC fires coaches mid-contract. Now, when one wants to leave mid-contract, they have a problem with it?

Jags is a very fitting nickname for him. He's a total hothead who's quite full of himself.

I side with BC on this though, as he does have it written in his contract that he can't seek any other jobs during the first three years of his contract. Can't fault BC there.

Oh and Jags ain't one of Barry's guys so he'd never got to UW, plus he ain't interested in taking an O-coordinator job in college. He's looking to go back to the pros.

You almost have to believe there is some underlying part of this story that hasn't come out yet. Maybe the Athletic Director hates jags and used this as his out to get rid of him.

Or Jags hated BC and wanted to get out of his contract so he got himself fired.
