The Continuing Saga of Jermichael Finley

Jermichael Finley, oh how the Green Bay Packers Coaching staff adores you!

When this season is over and finished, Mike McCarthy is going to have to answer some serious questions regarding his play-calling and personnel decisions at crunch times in important games during this Packer season.

Forget about John Kuhn for a second: let's talk about Finley. Through 14 games this year, this ROOKIE has 3 catches for 10 yards. However, yet again, he is not only on the field during crucial plays on crucial drives in crucial games, his freaking number gets called! Why?

Go ahead, read the article.

On second and goal from the 5-yard line with 3 minutes 23 seconds left in the first quarter, quarterback Aaron Rodgers tried a fade pass to Finley in the left corner of the end zone. It was the same play the Packers ran against the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 1. And the result was the same: Finley never came close to catching the pass. Two plays later, the Packers had to settle for a field goal.

2nd and goal from the 5. Keep it simple right McCarthy? Quick slant to Driver from the slot, outside pitch to Grant, some sort of bootleg to Lee, ANYTHING to Jennings...

...no, a freaking fade route to Jermichael Finley.

You just shake your head when you think about stuff like this. Here's a line from the GBPG, addressing the mistakes Finley made on the field again Sunday:
After an unproductive training camp, Finley fell behind Lee and Tory Humphrey and didn’t get many snaps. When he has gotten on the field, he hasn’t produced.

Nail on the head. Yet this guy continues to get playing time. Baffling.

I wonder if he complained about the way Rodgers threw the ball to him again.....

I'd rather see Clifton rolling to his left on a half-back option then to see this clown get another red zone target.

Obviously if Brett Favre was there this wouldn't be an issue b/c he is God and makes everyone feel better about themselves.

This is Aaron Rodgers fault for calling the play and not switching the play at the line.

WRONG GREATONE!!! This is Mark Chmura's fault for sexually assaulting high school girls... if he would not have done that he would still be the tight end and we would not be having this discussion

I miss Chewy, the guy is the man. Maybe he could come back for a post prom party.

Chewy owns/rents to MU students...

Creepy, a little. Although he is now waiting until they are at least out of high school.

Owns houses on campus and rents to MU students...I wrote that pretty weird.

And has cameras installed, I'm sure.

But at least the MU students are of-age.
