If the goal is to win 79 games, yes.

79 is positve thinking. the mlb needs to enforce a slary cap something serious. teams like MKE and many others get crapped on because teams like the Ynaks and Cubs will shell out tons of dough of gain an edge unseen in any other sport. if the cubs get peavy we might as well not play this year. the only hope to compete in the central would be a massive Cubby plane crash.

and the funny thing is the Yanks will still be possibly be #3 in the division this year with the SOX shelling out just as much dough and the Rays just being a good young team.

You are forgetting Chris Capuano(spelling) that is for sure 20 loses

That is fairly depressing. Any two of those guys will need to have career years to have any chance of a winning record. You can't count on that.

All i care about now is that the Cubs fail miserably. We know the Crew has no starting pitching or bullpen, and Cubs fans will point out once again that we suck, but when they suck or collapse again next year, that is all I will care about!! The crew needs to win the season series against chi-town

I say go after Randy Johnson on a 1-year deal. If nothing else, we'd get the excitement of a potential 300th win.

I'm ok with the first two... after that... Um... Glendon Rusch time again, huh?

i would think randy johnson makes the most sense, especially if garcia is representative of team goals - to beat the cubs (i, for one, would be happy if the cubs lost all of their games to the brewers but won the division - or wild card).

the cubs have never beaten johnson.

Which explains why the Yankees and Cubs have won so many championships this decade.

I could see the Brewers landing a FA starter & then looking to promote a closer from within the organization. I don't know who that closer would be, but they really need another starter.

Villa's going back to the bullpen & Cappy might pitch 50 innings out of the bullpen (best case scenario).
