Moosed

Anybody see Fatt Stairs absolutely destroy the baseball last night? Tie game, 8th inning. Jon Broxton serves a 95 MPH fastball straight down main street and Stairs just moosed it into the RF bleachers - about 7 rows from leaving Dodger Stadium. Crushed, moosed, tattooed, hammered, Whammy!!...whatever you want to say, it was awesome.

How weird is it watching Matt Stairs, Geoff Jenkins, Gabe Gross, and Grant Balfour still playing meaningful baseball games'?

Matt Stairs is the definition of professional hitter

Matt Stairs looks like the guy on every bar league softball team who takes the game way too seriously.

I was going to bring up the Jenkins thing today. Is he the head cheerleader for the phils? I haven't seen him do anything on the field yet. The only time we see the glue he is smacking people on the helmet telling them they have done a good job, obviously.

I wonder if Jenkin's father still goes to every game.

Moosed, hilarious! While I've never heard that phrase used to describe a dinger, it just makes so much sense when used to described a bomb by Stairs. Well played sir.

If by "playing meaningful ballgames" you mean sitting on the bench (as far as Jenkins is concerned), then yeah, that's cool.

Nice call on the head cheerleader thing. Did Charlie Manuel look a little uncomfortable with Jenkins draped all over his back?

Todd - Correct, it only applies when huge guys hit long homers: Prince, Morneau, Stairs, Howard, Hafner...
