K Bye, Joe Dillon

The Brewers DFA'd Joe Dillon and replaced him on the 40-man roster with Willis McGahee (or something like that - I'm going to call him Willis for now), a third baseman formerly of the Cubs.

It looks like Willis put up some pretty good numbers at AAA Iowa.

Joe Dillon wasn't really very useful this season, so I'm not too sad at this development.

Talk about a guy who brought absolutely nothing to the table in 2008.

Good luck Joe.

Yeah I mean...I had a big mancrush on Joe Dillon after 2007, but that ended in flames this year.

You think the Cubs are saying "oh fuck. I didn't think anyone would really claim him" right now?

With his 14 errors in Iowa last season, he's already an upgrade over Bill Hall.

A cardboard cutout of Joe Dillon has about the same value on a baseball team as the real life Joe Dillon.

Talk about, "Just a Guy".

I think the only value he had was that Prince liked using his bat. I don't know why Prince didn't just go out and buy that same bat but whatever works.

Just goes to show you that if you can hit the hell out of a fastball, but can't hit off-speed, there really isn't a spot for you in the show. Just ask Keith Ginter

I'd have to find him first...

Keith stops by here from time to time.
