Good Grief

Um, this is newsworthy? It must be, because the JS then asked Rodgers if Brett called him? After answering "No," they asked Rodgers if he was upset about it? Again, "No."

Let me get this straight: ESPN reports Favre told them that he called Romo after the injury. The local hacks asked Rodgers if Brett called him and if he was put off that he didn't. Wow, this is front page stuff here.

Brett also said "I think he's (Romo) also one of the top five players in the entire league." Rounding out Brett Favre's top 5 players in the NFL are:

1) Brett Favre
2) Brett Favre
3) Brett Favre
4) Jesus Christ
5) Tony Romo
1,109) Aaron Rodgers

Finally, the odds of ESPN dubbing this topic "Fingergate" opened at 5-4.

I heard he only sends Rodgers text messages.

They're boys like that.

This is almost on par with Tom Haudricourt quoting an internet blogger that said Ned Yost was most certainly getting canned after the Boston series.

Jeez, JS, if you're hard up for guys who aren't going to print a bunch of garbage, I'll come write for you.

Actually, isn't their problem the other way, that they are only seeking those who write garbage?

This is how things go with Brett Favre and ESPN. They latched onto him years ago. How many times have we seen stories about Favre that had little relevance featured on the "booyah" network.

I always new Fingergate would involve Tony Romo... But I thought it would also involve foot-tapping in a mens room stall.
