That Sucked, But Everyone Else is Sucking Too

This takes the sting out of that 3-game sweep by the Mets, at least a little bit:

September 1 - Brewers trail the Cubs by 4.5 games, lead Philly by 5.5 games and St. Louis by 6.5 games in the wild card.

September 4 - Brewers trail the Cubs by 4.5 games, lead Philly by 4.5 games and St. Louis by 5.5 games in the wild card.

Sure, it would have been nice to win a few against the Mets to make up some ground on Chicago and pull further ahead in the wild card. But it's nice that the Cubs didn't pull further ahead, and neither Philly nor St. Louis was able to do much while the Brewers floundered.

Bring on the Padres.

We need to win at least 5 of these last 7 games on the homestand. Against SD and Cincy we should win all 7, but I'll take what we can get.

Getting sweeped by the Mets is not very encouraging when we'll likely play them in the NLDS.

Agree on the 5 of 7. We just need to keep clicking the days off the calender.

Harden to miss his next start due to sourness in his sholder and big Z is getting an MRI today.
