A Refresher

Since it's been 26 years, here's a primer on how the playoffs work in Major League Baseball in 2008:
  • The first round of the playoffs is called the "Division Series". There are four Division Series - two in the American League and two in the National League.
  • The team that scores the most runs in a Division Series game is declared the winner. If a team is declared the winner 3 times in the Division Series, that team is allowed to move on to the next round.
  • The second round of the playoffs is called the "League Championship Series". There are two League Championship Series - one in the American League and one in the National League.
  • The team that scores the most runs in a League Championship Series game is declared the winner. If a team is declared the winner 4 times in the Championship Series, that team is allowed to move on to the final round.
  • The final round of the playoffs is called the "World Series". The rules are the same as in the League Championship Series, except that in games played at the American League park, the "designated hitter" is used.

See you Saturday. Holy shit.

Don't think you'll have to worry about Sheets. Sounds like they're shutting him down for the year.

Can someone please make all the "fair weather" fans go away? It's only been 12 hours and I'm already sick of every one of them.

Electronic memory is something that I seem to be unable to ever have enough of. It feels like megabytes and gigabytes have become a permanent part of my day to day existence. Ever since I bought a Micro SD Card for my NDS flash card, I've been on the constant lookout for large memory at cheap prices. It's driving me crazy.
