Matt LaPorta Wishes He Was Back In Huntsville

Actually, I'm not sure if this is the case whatsoever, but check out the numbers.

Huntsville (AA, Milwaukee): 84 games, .288, .402 OBP, 20 HR, 66 RBI

Akron (AA, Cleveland): 14 games, .212, .250 OBP, 1 HR, 7 RBI

Without looking this up, I must ask, why has LaPort only played in 14 games since the trade? Is he injured or something?

OK, looked it up. Olympics.

I think Gamel's suffered a little bit since the trade too. Possibly a combination of regression and no protection from the loss of LaPorta.

I'm sure he wishes he was anywhere but China.

Put on your SARS mask and grab your doggy bag. (the one that actually has dog in it).

What a horrible fucking country.

Also, how the hell did we lose to Korea in Baseball?! Seriously.

like i said when the trade happened, his numbers greatly benefited from a stacked lineup as well as them having a hitter's park. keeping all those guys together in AA made them all "seem" a little better than they really are, which helps with trades as other teams tend to over-value them.
