OK, looked it up. Olympics.
I think Gamel's suffered a little bit since the trade too. Possibly a combination of regression and no protection from the loss of LaPorta.
I'm sure he wishes he was anywhere but China.

like i said when the trade happened, his numbers greatly benefited from a stacked lineup as well as them having a hitter's park. keeping all those guys together in AA made them all "seem" a little better than they really are, which helps with trades as other teams tend to over-value them.
