The Yost Hot Seat Is On Fire

Our next manager?

There's been quite the "Fire Yost" chatter among media outlets today. Something called the Badger Blogger cites "inside sources" that he is gone today. Before your scoff, this guy was supposedly the first person to report the Crean to IU rumors. Anyway, they were legit enough for Brewer beater (hee hee) Tommy H. to look into the report and declare something to the effect of "my inside sources are better than yours and say there's been nothing of the sort." The simple fact that a professional journalist is checking his sources about the validity of a blog post speaks volumes of a blogs/bloggers influence, doesn't it?

Also, as Matt has pointed out, Dougie Melvin is currently in Nashville to "check out potential callups," or is he? Could he be making a contract offer to Frank Kremblas to be the new manager in Milwaukee? Hmmmm.

Whatever happens today, Ned can't be sleeping well. Especially when Brauny shreds you in the press questioning the preparation, attitude and leadership of the clubhouse after losing to Boston....a series in which Antanasio attended in person. This team should not be in last place. And it should not be 79-93 in their last 172 games. Who's always the first to go in these situations? The Manager. Unfortunately, Ned's like that cockroach you just can't kill. They'll win 2 of 3 at Pittsburgh and will save his job for another week. I can hear it now: "Its a grind guys. It really is. These kids know what is asked of them and they went out there this series and bounced back. Thats all I can ask. Its up to them to turn it around. No. No I dont read the papers at all. No I havent heard that. I cant worry about my job. I have to get this team ready to play each and every day. I havent even looked at the Nationals yet guys..we just got done with a tough series -cmon."

The Yost BS quote at the end of the entry is perfect! This team has given up on Ned, he brings no fire to the table.

Awesome Yost quotes. Sounds like something a dead man walking would say.

Does Yost have any minor league options left?

What happened to all the Yost defenders? Pretty quiet this year...

Is that Kremblas or Joe Dillon's dad?
Either one would be better than Nedly

Kremblas looks like a laid-back guy...is that uniform made by Under Armour?

Click clack.

Funny. This has probably been the year where Yost pissed me off the least. It's also probably his last year.

I'm currently on the fire Bill Hall bandwagon.....

Why stop at Hall? I'm on the fire the whole damn infield bandwagon. Nice .233 coleective BA fellas. I think its time Prince gets the sand out of his vagina and eats a damn cow.

True, but Hall makes more than the entire rest of the infield combined this year. Even if you put Carlos Villanueva on the mound he'd still make more than those 4 guys.

More good news: Even after this year, we owe Bill Hall another 15.2 million plus a 500K buyout through 2010. Remember mother's day '06?

It's obvious he's in Nashville to make an offer to Kremblas... there's no talent in AAA it's all in Huntsville...well, except Tim Dillard.

He's checking out Russell the Muscle....the left handed Bill Hall.

"Joe Dillon's dad." LOL

Frank Kremblas would be a great manager. He was my manager in rookie league way back in 1998 and is a great guy and good motivator. Not laid back at all. Not afraid to yell when needed and a helluva good field manager. Much better option than Yost.
