Brewers - Cubs Series

Mike Cameron is skating out of the penalty box and the with Sheets back in the rotation (for now, anyway) the Brewers are finally at full strength. By drawing a simple walk, Cameron can provide much needed help the Crew's anemic offense. Hell, at this point, Chuckie Carr could help.

The JS is in near panic mode over this game, saying "At some point down the road, the Milwaukee Brewers might look back on their game tonight in Chicago as a watershed moment in their 2008 season." That might be overdoing it, but it is a big game. Most important is to see how many innings Sheets can throw before his pussy triceps flairs up, if at all. Anybody want to set the over/under?

As for the offense, they will not get the pleasure of facing a LHP vs Chicago. Milwaukee has far more success vs LHP (.279 avg, .349 OBP) this year than Righties (.224 avg, .296 OBP), and the Cubs will throw 3 righties at Wrigley: Jason Marquis (1-0, 3.47), Ryan Dempster (3-0, 2.90), and Big Z (4-1, 2.21)

Alas, in honor of the 25th anniversary of Lee Elia's phenomenal meltdown...I'm predicting a Lou Pinella blowup and ejection. Like a fine wine, that Elia clip gets better with age.

As this game is at night, the 15% and the 85% will be able to enjoy it together.

By the way, is that a younger, slimmer Eric Gregg getting chest bumped by Elia?

If so, Elia was probably pissed about Livan Hernandez getting calls 6 inches off the outside corner of the plate.

Here is the Great One's response to the Ben Sheets over/under

"I’m going w/ 25 innings, I feel he will have 3 games, of basically unhittable stuff again, make you feel like ok he is fine.
Then middle of the 4th game he is going down with a ingrown toe nail for 2 weeks."

George Webb predicts the Brewers will lose 2 of the 3 and the idiots on the JS blog will think the sky is falling.
