Craiggers: "We've got a good team, but I suck."

WTF is he trying to do?

That's not the real quote, but that's the jist of it:

"We've got a good team," said Counsell, who worked out for the first time Wednesday -- three days before the first official full-squad workout but a couple days behind the other established players.

"There's an easy goal. You shouldn't be satisfied with anything short of that. You don't even say what the goal is because you know what it is. You expect it, really."

Counsell, who will back up at third base, short and second, admits it would be a better season for the Brewers if he doesn't play that much. Otherwise, it would mean injuries have come into play.

"Realistically, you really hope you don't have to play that much," he said. "For the team, you kind of hope that."

I thought it was pretty honest. He realizes that if he's playing alot it's either because one of the better players was injured, or because the team is getting Yosted.

I'm tweaking, to a whole new era,
G-funk step to this, I dare ya.

This means I really hope Counsell doesn't have to lay down a sac bunt with a gy on third and less than 2 outs again this season.

Graffanino said a pretty simialr thing last year as well when Weeks was struggling and Graffy was getting a lot of extra playing time. In a nutshell, he said that the best thing for the team was to have Rickie get hot rather that TG perform well. Gotta hand it to those crafty veterans.......

The rhythm is the bass and the bass is the treble.
