It's a landmark day here in Wisconsin. For the first time ever, a Madison writer actually rips on the Big-11. I don't ever remember that happening. And it's Tom Oates, too...one of the biggest homers around. Some of the quotes include:
"Well, the critics are right. The Big Ten wasn't very good last season and it is worse this season."
"By beating no one of consequence this season, the Big Ten has handed its bashers all the ammunition they need. Even if the critics are wrong about the league, its lame non-conference scheduling has given them no evidence to conclude otherwise."
