- I could see this as a trap game for the Pack. They have done a good job of late beating down inferior opponents, but its something about that dome in St. Louis that brings out he worst in the Packers. As I mentioned in my way incorrect preview at the beginning of the year, the Packers even played bad there against a Tony Banks-led squad in the Super Bowl year. I don't think they will lose, but I see a much tighter game than many expect.
- Is anyone who has half an idea about MLB really too shaken up over the Mitchell report? So many news outlets are talking like this is the biggest thing ever and going to bring baseball to its knees. I think the general reaction to the report of most people who follow baseball is, "No shit". Really, don't think this does diddly to baseball in terms of attendance. am sure you will have some holier than thou types who will not take their families to games now, but I don't think they will really be missed.
- The Texans beat the Broncos last night in an NFL network game. Mario Williams, who in the last two weeks has justified being the #1 pick in 06, had this to say: "This is our first big-stage game," Williams said. "Everybody was watching. We
were the only game on. We kind of showed the world what we can do." OK, it looks like Mario has not been paying attention to the whole NFL Network/cable debate. I would have liked to watch this game, but by missing it, I was able to catch the Festivus episode on TBS. Good times. By the way, I like the Texans. Seems like thy would be a fun team to watch.

Goldy forgot to leave out his Grant Projections for the game:
28 rushes/238 yards and 4 rushing TD's
They need to win this game to stay ahead of Seattle. Because of the tiebreaker going to SEA, they really only have a one game lead, and SEA has 3 winnable games left, so GB has to win 2 of the 3 most likely, and you don't want the game in Chicago next week to be a must-win to keep the #2 seed.
Yup....keep the pedal floored and keep Seattle in the rear view mirror. They've done really well in containing good RB's this year, so Jackson shouldn't kill us too bad. Hopefully we don't unfold the Dallas Gameplan for this one.
We need to win 2/3, but all 3 teams will have losing records. We should be able to do that.....
The way the Lions season has played out, it wouldn't surprise me to see them less than motivated to play a December 30th game in GB. That is the game Grant seals his invitation to Canton.
I hope your right Goldy, I am going to that game. I can save my ticket stub and tell people that I saw Grant play.....
I am afraid of Seattle...in fact, they are the only team in the NFC. I know the Pack can beat Minny and am confident they can shut down the Giants again...Tampa doe not really worry me cause of their lack of offense, and I know...I know we can be Dallas! But Seattle for some stupid reason, bothers me...I have a feeling Bob Sanders will pull out the Dallas defensive scheme and never blitz, thus giving hassleback all day in the pocket and killing us with their below average receivers...that's just how I see it.
They need to win all three games...not just two of three, but all three convincingly!
I herd Brock Berlin is starting for the Rams.
Packers 27, Rams 9
