The Anti-Boston

We all know that the Boston area is having an historic sports year. In fact, the rest of us are so sick of Boston sports that we'd like nothing better than to take all of their sports teams and dump them into Boston Harbor.

But is there an anti-Boston out there? A city or region that is having an historically bad sports season?

I give you Miami.

Their Marlins finished with 71 wins - only Pittsburgh was worse in the NL. They're about to trade one of their best players because he's going to be too expensive.

The Heat just picked up their first victory of the NBA season the other night, and without D Wade are one of the most brutal teams in the NBA.

The Miami Hurricanes, once a storied college football franchise, just got whitewashed 48-0 in the last game ever played at the Orange Bowl. By Virginia.

If they have a hockey team, I'm sure it sucks, although I didn't bother to look it up because the NHL is irrelevant.

And then there's the Dolphins, who at 0-9 have a legitimate shot at going winless this year, with Ronnie Brown out for the season and Cleo Lemon playing quarterback.

Bad times in Miami if you're a sports fan.

But they live in Miami. You can put up with a lot with South Beach nearby. It's not like Boston, where it's cold and crappy and everyone hates the world.

Bienvenido a Miami!

Aren't the Florida Panthers in Miami? The only reason to go to a hockey game in FL is because it is hot outside.

Well, I looked it up and the Florida Panthers are indeed near Ft. Lauderdale, which is near Miami.

They are currently 13th in the 15 team Eastern Conference.

As predicted, they suck too.
