he's really no worse than any other manager. can't see why people have such a fit over him, look at the bullpen he had to work with. christ, wise couldn't pitch anymore, turnbow could only pitch well with after a couple days off and on wednesdays after 8:30, what did you want from him? maybe if Melvin had given him better options he would have used them.

I think it's the first time Melvin said anything about it. Antanasio's "Ned's fine" wasn't really "official."
Because he's the owner?
I would think that is the most "official" statement that could come from the Brewers.
Who knows, maybe it's like a trade. Melvin announces those things, not Mark. Maybe it's a slow day in Bristol??
