Brewers Report Card

I was gonna grade each position, until I saw the JS did it for me. Thanks guys. That's the type of hustle and hard work you come to expect on Chuckie Hacks.

Congrats to all your beer guzzling Brewer fans who came out in record numbers. 2,869,144 of you, in fact. That's up 22% from last year! I wonder how many beers they sell in an entire year? Or Cactus League Nachos? I need that information.

Here is one thing I want to know. We shelled out a butt-load of jack for Jeff Suppan this year, but what were we expecting? Look at his career stats. His numbers for losses in a season since 2000 have been, 9, 14, 16, 11, 9, 10, 7, and now this year 12. For his career he is only slightly over a .500 pitcher at 118-113. What the hell were we expecting? He isn't going to be a 18-4 guy. Plus, how many games did he pitch where he should have gotten a win but the gas cans in the pen blew it for him. Or how many times did he lose a game where he gave up 2 or 3 runs and the bats gave him no support?

I disagree with his C+ rating.

One more add... to give Ben Sheets a B is ridiculous. The guy who is supposed to be the staff ace who misses the most critical part of the season and still rate him as one of the shining points of the year is a joke!!!!

He had a good record when he was in there but when you look at what he brought to the team this year and what was expected of him, I'd give him a D at best, bordering on an F.

Ben Sheets should get an incomplete.

He didn't hand in his homework on time.
