Yost Back for 2008

Well....Brad will have to wait until 2009 to become a Brewers fan again. Attanasio said tonight that Yost is "fine" for 2008.

"Ned is under contract for next year," said Attanasio. "Since I've been here, we've tried to put systematic processes in place for every decision. Some are big decisions, some are little decisions. Some are important decisions, some are less important decisions.

"The fact that we haven't disrupted the process tells you something. Ned is not in trouble."

Of course, this article says nothing about Mike Maddux. I have a sneaking suspicion that he might take the fall for the pitching staff's struggles this year.

It's nice to have an owner who makes decisions based on "systematic processes" as opposed to the prior regime, which appeared to make decisions by the time-tested technique of eeny meeny miney mo, catch a tiger by the toe, if he hollers let him go, eeny meeny miney mo.

I. REJECT. THIS!!!!

Let's just hope Mark Antanasio is somehow, someway, related to Lovie Smith: "Rex is our quarterback, Rex is our quarterback, Rex is our quarterback, Rex is our quarterback, Brian Griese will get the start..."
