Adam, I'm Sorry

I apparently pissed Adam LaRoche off when I called him the worst off-season acquisition in the NL Central at mid-season. He now has 2-run bombs in back-back games against the Brewers.

Adam, I apologize. You weren't the worst off-season acquisition in the NL Central. I was wrong.

Now please go back to being that .200 hitter that we all enjoyed during the fist half of the season.

In the interest of full disclosure, shouldn't you have noted that he is on your fantasy team?

I just want to know how the Pirates have such a bad record. It seems like every time we play them they look like a pretty good team. I know Snell & Gorzelany have been pretty good so far, they play great defense (I think they have something like 100 consecutive errorless innings), and Bay & Sanchez are definitely good on the offensive end. I don't want to sound like John Kruk or anything, but they've definitely got talent.

Pittsburgh is currently 2nd in MLB in field%, 2nd in double plays turned, & 3rd in fewest errors comitted. Apparently defense DOES NOT win championships....but it does win a series VS. the Brewers. The 4 E's the Crew committed on Tuesday would be like 3 weeks worth of errors for Pit. It would seem like you need to take advantage of the Pirates' bullpen or at least dodge Gorz&Snell to beat them down, and other than Damian Miller nobody from Milwaukee really did that too well. Again, I don't mean to keep talking about the crappy Pirates, it just surprised me that a team with that poor of a record has decent starting pitching (Top half of MLB) & great defense.
