Rubber Match
It's Tim Hudson (5-3, 2.79) vs David Bush (3-5, 6.13) this afternoon in Milwaukee. Advantage: Braves. Dick Weeks and his struggling bat/glove will be on the bench...replaced by Counsell. Feel free to sign up for the Rickie Weeks fan club...Yippy!!!

Looking past today's game, which by the way I expect to be a big "L", I was looking at the probable starters for the upcoming Marlins series since I am going to 3 games this weekend. The first 3 probables all currently have ERA's over 5.00. That's bad. But when one of your starters is named WES ****ING OBERMUELLER, it's high time to overhaul your pitching rotation. I swear to God if the offense doesn't get going this weekend.......
My prediction: Tim Hudson is going to remember that he has sucked for the better part of the past 3 years, and the Crew will take the series. I could have predicted before the series started that they'd have more trouble with Chuck James than John Smoltz. It's just how we roll.
Good point Matt....but then that doesn't bode well for the Florida series right?
Waiting for the ticking time bomb that is Dave Bush to explode...tick, tick, tick....
Wild Pitch and Miller scores....2-1 Brew Crew. MORE OFFENSE!!!! Bush w/ a very, very nice outing in only 91 pitches.
No, that does not bode well for the Florida series. Wes O. will dominate the Crew.
Does scoring on a single, two groundouts and a wild pitch count as manufacturing a run? That seems like an awful lot of work.
[Avert eyes - Turnbow in the game]
Just what you like to see - 2 walks from Turnbow. I want to gouge out my eyes with my pen.
DBOW......THROW A F***ING STRIKE!!!
OOPS....4-2 Braves. I might be back to hating this team again. Does our rookie have the only RBI today?
I had a meeting when it was 2-1 Crew...come back, BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE! 8-2
All we need now is for Hall, Miller, Counsell, Hart, Hardy and Braun to get on base and Fielder hits a 7-run homer. Ballgame!
The two losses in this series are the fault of one person, and one person only: JJ Hardy. Fielder did his job, and he hit HIS homerun in every game, but did JJ hit one out? Answer, no. If JJ Hardy does not plan on hitting a home run in like 67% of the remaining games, I don't think we will be winning too many games. Maybe Fielder can pick up the pace and start hitting 2 out every game. I want to change my answer, this series loss is Prince's fault for not hitting a minimum of 2 HR's in each game of the series.
AP...Ha!
