So, I am in the market for a lawnmower. Any suggestions. I have heard such things as: buy a Craftsman, I would never buy a Craftsman and, Hondas are overpriced. Any advice?

Why don't you just get the yellow job you've got in the picture? It seems like the 5 year old is pushing it easily enough so I would assume it is self propelled. It looks like it's got some big rugged wheels on there for rough terrain & that looks like a monster engine. I suggest that one.....
I have had two Craftsman... really do like them. I just recently purchased the self propelled job at Sears and took my other one up north. I personally am a fan of Sears due to the fact they pay army reservist employees when they are deployed, that alone earned my business.
Curios why you dont like craftsman other than the fact they have Briggs engines who are now closing simplicity down....
I have nothing against the Craftsman line of products. I have just head from person A that they would never buy a Craftsman and from person B that Craftsmen was the way to go. Also heard good things about the Hondas, but the knock here being that it is probably too high end for a lot that is less than a quarter of an acre.

Don't buy a Bolens. Mine cuts the grass haphazardly. Of course, this could be due to the fact that I haven't sharpened the blades since 2002.
