Crean/Wade Reunion?

A rumor in the St. Paul Pioneer Press says that Tom Crean might be the heir apparent to Pat Riley in Miami, taking over the Heat. Of course, this has to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt - the Pioneer Press is notorious for floating crazy rumors (remember the Carlos Lee trade to the Twins last year?)

After last night Crean should think long and hard about his future at MU. He is a great recruiter but an average bench coach. Plus he would fit in good with Shaq since his free throw percentage is similar to MU's team percentage. They lost the game by missing free throws and not being coached well enough to attack a zone. Tony... your thoughts?

Tony would not have an objective opinion since he has had his ass reamed verbally by Crean so many times.

From my experience (former subscriber to the Pio Press while in Eau Claire), it is best used for lining litter boxes or a fish wrapping material.

How many talented players go to MU and never get better from their Frosh year under Crean's coaching? Scott Merrit, D-James, Wes Matthews, Novak (until his senior year)...I know I'm missing some. Nubs used to rave about Kayron Bradley and Mike Kinsella and Brandon Bell and all these "awesome" guys who never did crap.

Oh and not olny do Minnesotans have one crappy paper (Pio Press), they have two. The Minnapolis Star-Tribune is about as good as the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram.

Don't see it happening. But I'm ok either way. He has been great for the program and you can not deny that. My thoughts are that if he was going to make the jump working with Wade would be a great move for him. But I don't believe he would jump just for any job in the NBA. I think he knows his limitations.
