Indeed, sweep them. Today's litter box liner referred to fights in the stands on Sat. night, can anyone verify? I hope the Brewer fans won the fights and the police arrested the Cub fans, so feel free to report that even if it is not the truth :-)
i was there friday and shit was getting serious on the way out. saw a cubs fan who got lit the fuck up and looked like sloath from the goonies after. we dominated on all aspects
*Brewers fans heckling cubs fans* Cubs fan: "you know, I took my brewer fan friend to wrigley once, and he didn't hear anything, no one said a thing to him"
Brewers fan: "That's probably because the Brewers won that game! Obviously he's not going to hear shit then!"
Cubs fan: "Actually, it was a cubs/marlins game, dumbass. But either way...."
Ahhh, those smart cubs fans.
Also, when the lights went out, that was the only time Cubs fans had a chance to say anything, accusing Brewers management of not paying the electric bill. We just told the Cubs fans around us that it was tradition when Coffey takes the mound. "We do this every time for Coffey because he's lights out"
I didn't notice anything bad on Friday night, but granted, there were no Cubs fans sitting near us. Brewers fans were a tad obnoxious on the way out. Seriously, Brewers fans are becoming what we all hate about Cubs' fans.
I agree. We're getting really bad. Really, really bad. Yes, there are douchebag Cubs fans... But the way a lot of the drunken, idiot Brewers fans act is not very becoming. Show some class.
The Saturday game of the first series I saw two brewers fans whaling on eachother there was blood everywhere. I think one of the guys girlfriends was a Cubs fan she may have got the whole thing going. It was embarrasing to say the least.
Brewers management started the whole thing by telling us to "Take Back Miller Park"; however, they did not specify by what means. Perhaps they should have informed everyone that the best way to do so is not sell your ticket to the highest bidder. If you're in your seat, a Chubs fan is not.
Now, I have to play Devil's advocate: If half of Fenway was packed with Yankees fans do you not think there would be fights everywhere? Why is Milwaukee different? Is Milwaukee not a baseball town? Is the I94 Rivalry not real enough?
Cubs fans don't even seem to think this is a real rivalry. Like the Brewers aren't in the same league because we can't buy a team.
People in Milwaukee own more bowling balls than pairs of shoes. We are not above this and it will only escalate.
Honestly, I can't blame Cubs fans for not thinking this is a real rivalry. A lot of people in Milwaukee and Chicago grew up when the teams were in different leagues, so it would stand to reason that they don't have the anomosity for the Brewers that they would for a true rival like the cock-sucker Cardinals. And honestly, the Cubs don't bother me. The fans do, but that's because they're from Chicago, and think they're hot shit. Honestly, Cubs fans are no-where near as annoying as east-coast fans.
That doesn't give license to try to out-douchebag the Cubs fans. You can be rivals and have it be something less that dangerous. I, for one, don't want to be punched by some testosterony twatwaffle who drank on too many cups of miller lite swill.
I'm not saying I condone what's going down. I also can't say that I don't understand why it's happening.
Are we really that concerned with Milwaukee's image? When people outside Wisconsin think of Milwaukee it's either Dahmer or Miller. (I'm not sure what's worse)
I was at the last 3 Twins series at Miller Park and it's also close to 50/50, but there isn't anything close to the hatred. It's still a rivalarly especially being that the Twins hand us our ass every year. The fact is that we don't hate the fans or their state on a personal level.
I guess it's new to people from Chicago that we hate them. Perhaps we should have the Chuckie hacks Illionois acronym of the day?
I know what you're saying, man, I do. And it's entirely possible that FIBs might just not get that we hate them, and would hate them even if the Cubs didn't exist.
I, too, have been to Brewers/Twins games at the Metrodome... And it's a more pleasant experience than a Brewers game at Miller. The people are more polite, the jabs more measured and gentle, yadda yadda yadda. It seems as though a lot of the Chicago douchebaggery has started to seep into Milwaukee/Madison, and it's just... unpleasant. I end up goin gto more T-Rats games than Brewers games because then i can watch a fucking game without some drunken cowfucker/fratboy wannabe trying to start a fight.
I love Brewers/Cubs games, because if nothing else, WE care. But, as I've stated in the past... I get more excited for the Cardinals. That is a team I HATE.
Every place as a place they hate. And really, if Wisconisinites wanted to dislike a portion of Illinois... they'd be better served disliking everything south of Chicagoland. Because as bad as Chicago is, at least it's not a bunch of sheep-diddling Northern Missourians. Which leads me back to FUCK THE CARDS.
And yeah, Canada things we're a bunch of sick fucks.
"It's still a rivalarly especially being that the Twins hand us our ass every year. The fact is that we don't hate the fans or their state on a personal level."Speak for yourself. I loathe Minnesotans!
I am a Cubs fan, from Iowa. And I really do enjoy what you guys do over here. I love hearing insight from other fans, except Cardinal fans. I really don't like hearing about the fights and crap that has started...like D'Amico said, "its a baseball game, not a turf war"

friday was bad, especially after braun hit the bomb. but what else can you expect from those hayseeds? zero class, zero social skills.
Best conversation on the way out Sat night:
*Brewers fans heckling cubs fans*
Cubs fan: "you know, I took my brewer fan friend to wrigley once, and he didn't hear anything, no one said a thing to him"
Brewers fan: "That's probably because the Brewers won that game! Obviously he's not going to hear shit then!"

Brewers fans instigate almost every fight in the park..
I hate the Cubs and their fans as much as the next guy, but my God.
Goldy, Fetters...

"zero class, zero social skills"
- says the racist.
also from the person lecturing folks on class and social skills:
"Also loved seing Ramirez leave the game. Our whole section cheered when it happened and booed him as he was carried off. The punk deserves it.
"And I got 2 Cubs fans thrown out for doing absolutely nothing. Gotta love you dumb rubes."

Nice T-shirt. I really want it.
