Play Ball!

Baseball on February 25th, beautiful. Macha takes on his old squad at 2:00. I have no idea who Casey McGehee is, but I already like him more than Bill Hall. And I've got the gas can ready for Suppan.

2B Rickie Weeks
SS J.J. Hardy
LF Ryan Braun
1B Prince Fielder
RF Corey Hart
CF Mike Cameron
3B Casey McGehee
C Jason Kendall
RHP Jeff Suppan

Holy hell. Get Rickie out of the leadoff spot! Jeez, Hart and Cameron batting back-to-back, look for 8 K's between those two! Give Kendall a day off for God's sake! Suppan? He's going to last 2 innings! Move Hardy to 3rd and put in Escobar!

Fire Macha!

Just had to get that out of the way.

That bottom 3 already makes me shiver... especially number 9. I'm really distraught over Suppan.

I will never have confidence to win a game when he's on the mound... it's like the 2007 Capuano effect.

Maybe Cappy can resurrect his career this year... that would be a welcome surprise.

Casey McGehee is a completely mediocre AAA player.

So, probably a bit better than Hall.

I predict the Brewers will score five or more runs every game this year. Every single, fucking game.

I'm sure Casey McGehee will enjoy Nashville, TN.

I also want to thank Mr. George Webb for dropping in with the comment. I enjoyed that.

Cappy's "career" consisted of 1 good season and he led the league in run support that year. Not only is Cappy a has been, he really is a never was.

Can someone please explain the gas can reference to me?

Official “Gas Can” explanation: Relievers used to be called “firemen” as they came into the game to put out fires. Guys like Eric Gagne, for example, come in and add “fuel to the fire” instead of putting them out. Thus, he brings his gas can out to the mound. More simply, he IS a Gas Can. Usually reserved for relievers, starters like Suppan are prone to “explode” on occasion. Gas Can also works in this case.

Glad I could clear this up.
