A Nice Little Saturday

"Dominique James and Jered McNeal playing GREAT for Marquette..."

"Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time." - Frank The Tank

Alabama-Florida oozes goodness: New age offense vs smash mouth. One powerhouse vs the return of another. The most anticipated SEC football game in years. One arrogant coach vs another arrogant coach. Verne Lundquist on CBS...love that guy. Over/Under on number of times he calls "Rolando" McLain, "Ronaldo" McLcain: 3.5.
Alabama 31 - Florida 30

Then, the night cap. Bucky-Marquette. A friend told me this will be on ESPNU? Is that true? WTF? I must admit, I have yet to see a single minute of MU. But, I can probably tell how the game will go. MU starts out hot as Dom James makes a couple jumpers - this is bad for MU fans. Bucky methodically regains its composure and digs into the lead. Jerel McNeal does a great job of handling Landry. A bunch of white guys start nailing 3s for Bucky. Wes Matthews banks in a few circus layups. Halftime, MU 39, Bucky 33. Train calls asking if these refs are from Brown Deer or Glendale. Those James jumpers stop falling (shocking). Landry asserts himself. More white guys hit 3s for Bucky as they take the lead. MU throws a junk press at 'em, creating a few turnovers. Matthews disappears, Lazar Hayward steps up with back to back 3s. MU takes the lead, makes the freebees at the end.
Marquette 79, Wisconsin 76

Why would ESPN or ESPN2 show MU/UW, when it has thrilling college football matchups like Arizona/Arizona St. and South Florida/West Virginia on the schedule in primetime?

Good thing Goldy gets ESPN U.

The only worse than this game not being in HD is if Pam Ward is the announcer.

No way. 74-71 UW.

If they can't pull it out, I'm rescinding my alumni contributions. I can do that, right?
