Favre to Sharpe

Sorry. Another one, but this one has it all. One of the best plays I have ever seen on tv, along with Wayne cook of UCLA running in the middle of the field with no TOs left in the 94 Rose Bowl and Braun's 2-run bomb against the Cubs. I would have included Big Dog's 10 foot baseline jumper against the Sixers in the 01 East Finals, but he missed that one.
Anyhow, this has Favre running around like a mad man, Sharpe standing there with an "I'm the shit" look while people are throwing stuff at him, Dick Vermile on the mic, Mark Brunell giving Favre a hug and the best is Wayne Fontes' dumbfounded look.

As I have stated before, it is amazing how close Sharpe was to not getting both feet in bounds. You can't tell from this video, but if you ever catch this on NFLs Greatest Games, watch for that.

I miss Wayne Fontes. He was very lucrative for me.

I grew up in the 80's. At the time, this was truly one of the greatest days of my life. Watching it again, I'd still have to say it ranks right up there.

I'm pretty sure this was the 90's...

That's my point. I suffered through an entire decade of mostly losing teams. This was the first playoff win I ever saw.

Wayne Fontes...Brad Childress...cockroaches of the NFL...they just cant ever get fired. BTW, Wayne Fontes is habitually at Gallaghers on 67th Ave and Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ every Sunday playing OTB and signing autographs...

I still remember the Journal the next day. The front page of the paper (not the sports) and all you see is the football above the fold. Open the paper fully and you see Sharpe standing alone in the end zone.
