Problem Solved

So Ben Sheets has an owie that he's been hiding from us. Given his history, we all know that he won't pitch again this year.

“There’s been really good days. There’s been really bad days. There’s been days that it’s hard to move and it’s stiff, then the next day it’s free.”

I have a solution. When Sheets has one of his "really good days", he pitches that night. Bump the guy who is supposed to start that evening and go with Sheets. Hell, the guy only threw 24 pitches last night, so if he feels really good tomorrow, he pitches.

I'm sure Sheets will go along with this. He is a gamer.

So, now our possible post season pitching is Sabathia, Bush, Suppan?

I like when that drunk Rick Sutcliffe said something like "the injury must be serious for a tough guy like Sheets to leave the game".
