Pat Williams - Still Talking Smack

You all saw his earlier quotes about the Week 1 MNF match up. He's still at it, talking abou shutting down Ryan Grant:

Pat Williams admits he and fellow Pro Bowl tackle Kevin Williams have talked about what Grant did when he went for 119 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.

"That ain't going to happen Monday night [in the opener]," Pat Williams said. "Trust me it ain't going to happen. I've got everybody focused."

If Grant has under 100 yards in that game it will more than likely be because he'll be splitting carries with Jackson. That seems to be the direction that we(and the NFL) is headed in.

He's trying to get the Packers worked up about trying to run the ball on the Vikings because....SURPRISE....that's exactly what the Vikings want teams to do. I don't care if grant goes under 100 yards, I'd rather watch that pathetic secondary try to stop Jennings & Driver.

AP - you're exactly right. If Williams will feel good about holding Grant under 100 while Rodgers throws for 300 and four TD's I think we can let him have his little victory.

Right. Bad news is Grant stays under 100 yards that day, maybe like 70 yards. Good news is he does it on only 14 carries.

wow. CH commenters are sucking down the rodgers kool-aid. this is exciting!

I don't think that predicting a successful passing day against one of the worst passing defenses of 2007 is "drinking kool aid" WV.

I think it falls under the "anyone can do that" column.

Here's another example: Even the Colts' defense should be able to stop the Bears' rushing "attack".

I don't think that qualifies as "talking smack."
