Last night Ned Yost tries to do a hit and run with Manny Parra batting. He also doesn't bunt with Ray Durham with a man on 2nd with no out.
So this morning he decides shaking things up a bit with the lineup:
2B Rickie Weeks
3B Craig Counsell
SS J.J. Hardy
1B Prince Fielder
LF Ryan Braun
RF Gabe Kapler
CF Mike Cameron
C Jason Kendall
RHP Dave Bush
Yep...put Rickie Weeks back at the top...and drop your best hitter down to the 5 hole. That seems appropriate.
You know what...whatever...we need a win today. Lineup looks good to me.

How does any of that make sense Ned? Why isn't Bush in the 3 spot? Where's Rivera? Why not Ray over Dick? Throw Corey in center for a day and keep in Gabe. Just like the criticism over Ted Thompson...
YOu want to put the best team on the field that gives the team the greatest chance of winning...Yost still has not figured out the lineup from Spring Training.
On another note, why do I see headlines that say the Brewers have run into a "Hot Cubs team?" they were 4-6 after the break before they came to Milwaukee. the Crew was 8-2. The Crew laid an egg against Houston and have not recovered...you could see this coming in the St Louis series when they eeked out all of their wins...Their hitting blows...Cameron, Weeks and Kendall have been terrible, Hart has played poorly and Prince has not hit with RISP since the first game of the year...There is no leadership on the team and no one here to right the ship...
The Cubs weren't hot, the Crew has just been a mess!
Let's hope the Miller park D.J. is spinning some good entrance tunes today.
Well the problem with the lineup is they have the face the best team in the National League and they have Bush pitching today. Here's what they should do, trade all their players and play the Double-A team. I bet the Huntsville Stars would be more of a challenge then this joke of a team. You know Milwaukee is close enough to Chicago it wouldn't be a bad thing to root for a team that actually has a chance at winning a World Series, because where is the "Brew Crew" going to be next year? No Sheets, No Sabathia, and your boy Prince wants his payday and they can't afford him, not with all the money they have tied up in Braun, who's a worse fielder then Adam Dunn. Keeping dreaming Milwaukee.
Wow, David. Insightful, thought-provoking commentary... is not what that was. You're certainly entitled to you opinion, no matter how little thought went into forming it. The Cubs are an excellent team (this year), so it's unfortunate you can't simply enjoy it without being an asshat; Go crack a (fake) Old Style, stand next to Ronnie Woo-Woo, relax and enjoy yourself, you sad, sad man.
I'll give David credit for one thing. Although he doesn't know the proper use of the word "then", he knows that the Brewers' Double A affiliate is the Huntsville Stars.
I have no clue who the Cubs' Double A affiliate is.
i'm confused. is david a brewers fan?
Withou looking this up, I am going to go with the West Tennessee Diamond Jax. Wrigleyville can tell me if I won.
The Diamond Jaxx are a Mariners affiliate. Nice try, though.
@Wrigleyville- I'm pretty sure that David is a Cubs fan troll. Certainly not indicitive of all Cubs fans, but a rivalry brings out the asshats.
Err- I stand corrected. You were right about the D-Jaxx... I swore they were a Mariners aff. cause of the T-Rats, but I was wrong! sorry...
right state, wrong team.
God damn I'm dumb... I was right the first time...

West Tenn Smokies, right?
The Smokies used to be the Knoxville Smokies back around 96. I only know this because I had a Smokies hat in college
