We all wonder how St. Louis is as good as they are. Here are some offensive stats from some of the key Cardinals hitters - see if you can guess who they are.
Player A: .284/.381/.516, 18 HR, 64 RBI
Player B: .278/.346/.552, 22 HR, 56 RBI
Player C: .294/.370/.600, 22 HR, 68 RBI
Player D: (this is a gimme) .359/.472(!)/.611, 18 HR, 55 RBI

A. Ryan Luddy
B. Richard Ankiel
C. you said no cheating -I dont think it Richard cause his BA is not close to .300
D. Brian Barton-ha
gold old Aaron Miles has to be one of those guys,
I know Ricky Ankiel is B...
Ludwick
Glaus
Ankiel
Pujols
Actually, it's:
A. Glaus
B. Ankiel
C. Ludwick
D. Pujols
Color me surprised that Troy Glaus has those numbers - he must have gone on a serious power binge lately.
As a point of comparison:
Braun: .292/.332/.569, 24 HR, 71 RBI
Fielder: .275/.361/.501, 20 HR, 57 RBI
Hart: .288/.327/.512, 16 HR, 59 RBI
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that St. Louis is a pretty good offensive club. We'll see if the Brewers pitching is up to the task.
Oh, and Goldy, Aaron Miles just missed out on the list. He is hitting .323, though.
