A Win is a Win, Right?

Unless one bullpen guy melts down, and your closer blows a game for the second time in 3 chances. Seriously, any reason to worry? Shouse was needed to cleanup Mota's mess, and Gagne can only be considered shaky at this point. He only has 12 career blown saves...2 have come in the first 3 outings of this year. Riske, get ready for the 9th buddy!!

BUT, 6-1 is 6-1. Nice outing Suppan!!

New closer please?

Gagne's stuff looked good last night. I'm not giving him a pass for the blown save, but Patterson turned on a 94 mph inside fastball and BARELY got enough of it to take it out.

Forget the new closer talk...for now anyway.

Gagne admitted in the paper that he shook off a changeup to go to the fastball, and now regrets the decision. I think he has promised to never shake off Jason Kendall again.

Seriously, I thought that was a medium fly to right when Patterson hit it.

Gagne's stuff looked fantastic; that one curveball he threw was unhittble. I know it's our own park, but Patterson's "shot" was an out in almost every stadium in baseball.

How about Fielder's defense last night? Like a 300 pound cat, that guy.....

That's another game that the '07 Brewers would've lost. So far that's 3 games this year by my count.....

we would have won that game in the 9th last year with cordero.

Well, OK 2. They would've lost the game in Chicago. Cordero blew plenty of road saves last year. I think they would've lost Saturday's SF game as well when they had 2-3 errors & the defense was horrible. Regardless, if they keep winning it doesn't matter. It just seemed to me last year's Crew didn't win a lot of games after giving up a lead in the 9th, and they gave up a lot of leads.

I wonder if Kendall told Patterson that the heat was coming because Gagne shook him off. Patterson probably speaks nicely of Kendall.

I was thinking of Bull Durham when Nuke shakes off Crash when I read that comment. Nice.

That ball was hit decent, however, at Miller 4 years ago, that is not a HR. It was a start of the warning track fly out.

Gagne was one pitch away. He gets a K and everyone says "he's back" after two straight one-run saves. Funny how one pitch can change things.

Gagne looked good until the meatball. No three run blow like Turnbow in the 9th then give the crew no chance to win by giving them the lead.

How about Corey...he had to have cleared six inches off the ground. The guy is 6-6, I think he can jump a little higher!!
